Home Sweet Home

Hi everyone...................I  have had the most fantastic break, spending 4 weeks in California, visiting Yosemite national Park, then driving the Pacific Highway from San Francisco to San Diego, with stop overs at Monterey, San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara. For those of you who have Facebook and are followers you probably saw a photo posted by my lovely blog friend Terry of Terry's Work In Progress Blog, whom many of you will know.    It was wonderful to meet up with Terry as we have been blog friends since I started blogging 3 years ago.

It has taken a week to get back in to the swing of things here at home and as always coming home is something I love... great to see family and of course my two fur balls. Anyway, a couple of my friends have recently moved home, so I am sharing two cards that I made using a canvas background, PA Fresco Paints, book papers and Tim Holtz Artful Dwellings die, cloth fragments and buttons x

I wanted to keep the cards quite simple as they are likely to frame them x

It was so good to get back in to my craft room and I am looking forward to playing with some of my new stash

Sending you all my best wishes and thank you for dropping by....always great to read your comments

Huge hugs

  12. The month you were away passed so quickly but you certainly packed a lot into your trip. I bet the cats thought you had gone away permanently! Both cards are beautiful, it is always lovely to see fabric incorporated into cards and the buttons are so lovely as embellishments. I am sure your friends will want to frame these beauties. Hugs, Anne xxx

    Welcome Back!
This is a different style to your norm and I LOVE it! It goes without saying that I love your usual style but Annie, the designs presented here have a lovely freshness to them and remind me of American Primitive art style. They will definitely be framed.
Lovely to read that you had such an amazing trip and a chance to meet Terry. Special memories I am sure.
    Wishes
