Tag Friday at A Vintage Journey

Hi everyone...........whenever there are five Friday's in the month we have a tag Friday at AVJ blog,  where we share some ideas/techniques/tips and inspiration with you. If you have not visited the blog before then please click HERE
We would love you to join in with our monthly challenge and we also have  weekly inspirational posts (step by steps) as well as guest spots for you to sit back and enjoy.

Here is my tag:
To start off I used a black size 12 tag and added one of Tim Holtz papers from the Laboratorie paper stash, distressing the edges with the Tonic distressing tool.
Tim Holtz Sizzix  Bigz Postage stamp die was cut using my Big Shot and stamped with various stamps from Tim Holtz Undertaker Stampers Anonymous set. The Undertaker was  stamped three times, fussy cut and then  layered, with the top layer being heat embossed, creating an enamelled appearance.
I then cut one of Tim Holtz Sizzix Styled Labels die, stamping Happy Halloween from the Undertaker set in Jet Black Ranger Archival Ink. I made sure the ink was dry before heat embossing with clear embossing powder. The cat, hat and bat (as well as the spiders you can see in the completed tag) are also Tim Holtz Sizzix dies and were given the same  heat embossing treatment.
The elements below are also Tim Holtz Sizzix dies. I applied Distress Crackle Paint to the bottles and then gave them the rusting treatment, using acrylic wax, rusting powder and white vinegar.
Another of Tim's Sizzix dies, Film Strip, was cut and then had some of the faces from the Laboratorie stash cut to fit. Some watered down Distress Paint was splattered on their faces, which you can see in the completed tag below.
And there you have it a super Halloween wall hanging as seen below xx

There is also still time to join in with our current challenge,  Art Journalling with Tim, which closes  on the 4th November. The winner is chosen randomly and will receive a £20 voucher to spend online at Country View Crafts, who are our regular sponsor. The team chose the 3 Pinworthies, who will have the opportunity to guest on the AVJ blog as well as receive a badge to display on their blog.

Please remember that whilst we are a Tim Inspired challenge you do not have to use Tim's products to enter....for more information please go to the Travelling Instructions ( rules), which are available on the blog or Click HERE

Take care and catch up with you soon
