All that Glitters.........!

Hi friends..................Can't believe its Saturday and also the 11th January........................where is time
going !!  Hope you are enjoying the weekend and having fun or even getting inky.

Below you can see the Inkessentials size 12 tag that was made for a Special Little Girl in my life. Lots of glitter and sparkle, which she adores !!!
Its not my usual style, but I have to say that I had fun making it. The  sparkle embossing powders by Personal Impressions had been in my stash for years.  I so love heat embossing......its just amazing to watch the powders melt.
The stamps used are by Diane Reavely Dylusions range and I also used  Distress Markers and some Copics Markers.

I am off to see The Hobbit at the local cinema this afternoon and really looking forward to that.  Catch up  with you tomorrow. Take Care and see you soon

Wings & Things

Happy St Patrick's Day ..................the weather is a bit 'dreich' as we say here in Scotland, meaning rather dull, wet  and grey........... That's certainly not the case here in my post !!!!

Like I said yesterday, I have been getting very inky and having lots of fun !!! So I am sharing a piece that I created using a mixture of Tim Hotz stamps from 'Winged Things', Wendy Vecchi's heart stamp from her 'Love to Make Art' set, and Dyan Reavely's stamps from the 'Inbetweenies' range as well as Dylusion sprays  and stencils.
I have lots to learn about journalling ....but thats what the journey is all about!!

After creating my background with the sprays and lots of water I used some of  Dyan's stencils to create some ghosting effects and also a layer of spray through  another stencil. I then stamped around the edges in Archival ink ( it won't bleed if wet) before colouring with  a combination of Distress Markers and Sharpie pens.
I stamped Wendy's heart stamp on to card, cutting it to make the bunting, before spraying with water and Dylusion inks.
The stamped images from Tim and Wendy's range were adhered with Claudine Helmuth's multi-medium in matte.

Lots of spritzing and flicking as well as  Distress Stain splats here and there.

Lots and lots of fun making this piece.................I don't have a journal but its definitely on my wish list.
More crafting today with some visits in between from mu mum, dad and No 1 son.

Have a great day and thanks for visiting. If you have time leave me a comment and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Its always nice to know who has visited.

Journalling card

Hi Everyone. Scotland still enjoying sunshine.........................but not for much longer according to the weathermen. As I had a card to make for my niece's birthday I thought I would attempt my first journalling style card using Dylusions. I have to say that I really  really enjoyed creating this card and could not believe how quickly the background came together. ( video demo's on journalling techniques can be viewed on the Art from the Heart website)  I used various colours of promarkers on the stamps, which I then cut out and raised with foam pads. I  put the name tag on to some  wire that I coiled round my pencil and it looks really effective/funky !!

Thank you for viewing my blog and leaving kind comments. I look forward to visiting your blog too.

Happy Crafting ......................Annie :)
