Celebrations at A Vintage Journey Challenge Blog

Where are those months going !!!! I can't believe its June already and the weather is still like winter here in Scotland.
Not too worry though because you can have a 'Celebration' at any time of year and in any weathers and that's exactly what Sandy is looking for over at AVJ challenge blog

Here are the details as requested by Sandy "Share your celebrations with us.  It can be the end of the school year, a birthday, Father's Day, a wedding or a special anniversary.  Use any of Tim's products or techniques."

Here is my Celebratory make:

The Celebration of a beautiful Baby Girl called Harper, hence the H, which was coloured with Pickled Raspberry DI and edged with Gathered Twigs Distress Marker

First of all I made a 6" by 6" card and then cut paper for the outside and inside from Tim Holtz  Paper Stash as above. The edges of the papers  were inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and then torn at the edges using Tim Holtz paper distresser from Tonic Studio

Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Blue Print Stamps were inked in Jet Black Archival and stamped on to card, which was then fussy cut as I wanted to create some depth.
Once the stamped images were cut out I applied various colours of Distress Markers and then edged them with Vintage Photo DI to add definition.

American Seam Binding was soaked in water  and then smooched in Pickled Raspberry DI, which had been sprayed with water. Once I was satisfied with the depth of colour the ribbon was heat dried.

Below you can see the interior of the card which was completed by adding the stroller and then applying some stencilling. I made a pocket on the right side to place a tag in. ( I also thought mum could put a few of Harper's little photographs in here.

More Stencilling on the tag and a favourite classic was coloured with Didtress Markers and the adhered with Ranger collage glue. A piece of ribbon was attached using a stapler ( I had ran out of Tim's tiny attachers, which I would have criss crossed like a kiss)

The word band was stamped using more of Tm Holtz SA rubber stamp sets

Hope you can join in with Sandy's Celebrations Theme. The challenge runs for a month and don't forget we also have a variety of tutorials  presented every Monday.

Take care and have fun creating !!!
