Hi everyone....Its time once again for another challenge at the Craft Room. It's my turn to host this fortnight's challenge theme and I have chosen Something Old and Something New, but its not a wedding theme........ it's about your crafty stash !!!!!
We all have some old craft items in our stash and of course we have some new ones too............ so I would like you to make something which incorporates them both............not too hard............but you are required to list what you have used within your blog post, not just the link to our challenge to be in with a chance to win a prize. ( Please check out the New Pesky Rules, listed on the challenge blog, to ensure that your entry/post qualifies to be in with a chance of winning)
Our sponsor this fortnight is Crafty Individuals
Here is my Something Old, Something New project, which was made for a dear crafty friend:
The background of the card below was made many months ago when I had a lovely crafty day with my mum, Rita of RMG Creations, and our lovely friend Astrid McLean, of Astrid'a Artistic Efforts.
We used approx 8 layers of tissue paper, which is dampened with water and then I ran it through my big shot, using a Tim Holtz embossing folder. It was then left overnight to dry.
You can see that I have used various colours of Distress Inks, mainly Blue China, Spiced Marmalade.
The sentiment stamp is one that I have had in my stash for ages and was matted on to Blue card.
I used my new TH Spring Greens strip die , which is the trailing ivy that you can see.
The florals were die cut using another TH strip die and inked with various colours of blue Distress ink. You can also see a little piece of lace adhered under the floral top right.
My friend Astrid had a tutorial for this wallet on her bog, which you can see by clicking HERE
TH Embossing Folders were used once again to decorate the front/back of the wallet. Rusty Hinge, Vintage Photo and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks were blended to give a gorgeous warm tone. The flourish was one I had in my stash as was the floral you can see on the front flap. I also used some TH stencils on the flap for added detail.
Hope you like it x
Hope you will manage to play along with us this fortnight, it would be great to have you join in. For more inspiration Click HERE, which will take you to the challenge site and you can view the rest of the amazing DT makes.

Sorry I have been absent but I know you understand.
Since orange is a color I am very fond of - I love this. What a great idea to dig out all that stuff that is half done, and we all have them, and use it. Really enjoyed this. Thanks.
