Winter Wonderland at A Vintage Journey

Hello friends xx This month it's the turn of the lovely and talented Sandy who is our host. for our monthly challenge at A Vintage Journey.  Sandy has chosen the theme "Winter Wonderland" and here is what she has to say :
For the month of December let's think of the season as well as the holiday with Winter Wonderland. As the song goes, sleigh bells ring, snow is glistening! Let's see some snow, snowmen, bare trees would be nice or some snow covered pines in the meadow. Whatever Winter Wonderland means to you in your vintage, shabby, mixed media; art journalling; industrial or steampunk style.

I love Christmas and thankfully I am not working this year. so look forward to having family here for dinner.  For my challenge project I have decorated  a 7' x 7' photograph frame purchased from a store with the letters B&M x

I used Decoart Snowtex on the frame, applying some Glamour Dust Glitter, (which is really fine), whilst it was still wet. I so wish you could see the sparkle as its quite amazing !
The background is from the Tim Holtz Festive Paper collection and the Snowman is also one of Tim's Stampers Anonymous rubber stamp collections,  as is the  stunning cottage stamp. The snowman was stamped several times then layered as in 3D decoupage. The depth was created with silicone.
The festive foliage were  cut using my new Tim Holtz Sidekick and I just love it as it has the right pressure for many of these previously hard to cut dies. Once through the Sidekick they are ready to pop out the die......Fabulous !!!
The deer and the corner piece on the bottom left were also cut with the Sidekick but the sleigh and large trees were die cut using my Big Shot
This challenge runs until the 5th January 2018 !!! So lots of time to get your amazing Christmas entries in. Our winner is Randomly chosen but the Creative Guides do pick three Pinworthy winners who have the option to join us as a Guest Creative Guide. Just remember to check to our travelling instructions ( rules) which are on the sidebar. This month's sponsor is Andy Skinner.

  12. Annie, this is just wonderful with all the layers of die cuts arranged into the sweetest of wintry scenes! It's really great how you have used all those different die sets and stamps and they all work so well together in this snowy scene! I've only used my Santa/sleigh/reindeer die once this year, but you have inspired me to get it out again! Now I need one of those Sidekicks, because my Big Kick isn't cutting as well as I'd like. Thank you for your amazing inspiration! Sending warm hugs!
