Hi everyone xx Where we have 5 Friday's in the month there is a Tag Friday post over at AVJ for your inspiration. To view the Tags of my fellow Creative Guide sisters please click HERE
Below is my tag, which i trimmed in to a bookmark:
Here is the recipe:
Apply Distress Oxides on to your craft mat and wet with water until droplets appear. Smoosh your tag through the various colours of DIO drying layers in between until you are happy with the details.
Take Ranger Embossing medium and apply it to Dark Room Door border stamp Butterfly Garden and then stamp as normal on to your tag.
Taking Cosmic Shimmer Embossing Powder in True White sprinkle it over your embossing ink image ( do this over a piece of white paper, which allows you to pour left over powders back in to the pot with ease)
Take your heat gun and melt the embossing powder, but do not over do this as it can change the colour of the white embossing. ( We call this heat embossing)
I then stamped the image once using archival ink in Sepia, fussy cutting the butterflies, colouring them with Distress Ink Pens and edging with same pens. ( I like to remove the white edge)
The Butterfly Wings were placed over the stamped/embossed areas and the large wings were adhered to one of Tim Holtz Paper Dolls.
Some Idea-ology spinners were then adhered to the smaller butterflies and the edges of the bookmark inked with Vintage Photo DI, which made all the colours pop.
Some ribbon from my stash completes the finished bookmark.
There is also still time to join in with Nikki's June Challenge, which is "Canvas"
Prizes and Pinworthy places to be won so head over to the challenge page by clicking HERE
The challenge is open until the 6th July at 18:00 hours
Thank You for popping in today xxx Your visits are always appreciated.
