The Wings of a Butterfly

It's been over a week since my Destination Inspiration post at AVJ  using Perfect Pearls. As promised I am sharing the now finished project using Tim Holtz Wallflower Paper Stash and lovely stencilled layers of Distress Inks/embossing.

The Perfect Pearls really altered the wallflower papers, enabling the gorgeous vellum butterfly to sit perfectly in this vintage make.
I cut an 8 by 8  piece of card, then cut two more pieces,  4.5 by 8, which I adhered on top to make a large gatefold card. This was then covered with paper, which was inked with Distress Inks and Tim Holtz layering stencils applied using Tim's heat embossing technique in CC3. A few embellishments and some hessian ribbon and here it is :

I would like to enter this project in the following challenges

That's Crafty Challenge  - Anything Vintage. The team are feeling nostalgic and would love to see your vintage creations.

CC3 Challenge - Layered Embossing Technique. The lovely Linda Coughlan of the Funkie Junkie Boutique is the sponsor for this challenge and there are some very inspirational makes by the Curiosity Crew....and some goodies from Mario and Tim too x

Over at Country View Crafts the challenge is Bugs, Bees and Butterflies and my gorgeous butterfly fits in perfectly with Trace's challenge theme.

Frilly & Funkie Challenge blog where Cec  chose the challenge theme 'A Gift from the Heart'
( my large card was a gift for my SIL's special birthday)

Thank you for dropping in and for taking the time to comment, it is lovely to know you were here and I do apologise for my lack of commenting at present but I am busy creating invitations for my son's wedding.  As i also work full time it's just not easy to fit everything in at this very busy time of the year.

Huge Hugs
