Time Flies @ A Vintage Journey

Its Friday again folks and time for another challenge at A Vintage Journey, where the wonderful Chris is our host and has chosen the challenge theme of .................'Time Flies'

Here are the challenge details in Chris's words:
"We would like to see anything relating to the passing of time which includes Tim's products - stamps, dies, Idea-ology etc. This is down to your interpretation of how quickly time passes and how you can demonstrate it BUT we want to see Tim's techniques too please. The world's your oyster".

Our challenge runs for 2 weeks whereupon a winner will be chosen by the team. The winner will receive a £10 shopping voucher from our host, Country View Crafts on-line shop. We will also be choosing 3 blog badge winners, our 'Pinworthies' who will be pinned to our special Pinterest board.

Here is my take on Chris's challenge theme:

Recipe
It is an 8 by 8 card, with a mat of kraft card, on which I have stamped the pocket watch using Tea Dye Distress Ink. The edges were distressed using Tim's paper distressing tool by Tonic Studios. The edges were inked in Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain.
The background paper is from the Madame Payraud Paper Stash by Papermania. Once again the edges of the paper were distressed using Tim's Tonic Studio Paper Distressing Tool and then inked with Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain DI.  Tumbled Glass was also applied to the MP paper using Tim's Bubble Stencil

The air balloon and wing stamps are by Oxford Impressions. The air balloon was stamped in Ranger Sepia Archival Ink and heat dried. I then applied Festive Berries DI  directly to my craft mat picking it up with Tim's waterbrush. ( I had originally applied Tumbled Glass to the air balloon, but when the Sepia Accents dried on the pocket watch I felt that a red tone was required )
I adhered an Idea-ology decorative fastener to the air balloon and then attached a piece of chain from my stash, leading it to the pocket watch, where it was secured using an Idea-ology jump ring.
The words were computer generated and then matted on to some black cardstock and Vintage Photo DI was applied.
