All About Him at A Vintage Journey

Welcome everyone ........its lovely to have you join me here at Curious 'n' Crafty Treasures x
Another weekend is almost upon us and today its Anne's turn to host this fortnights challenge at A Vintage Journey, which is 'All About Him'.
To view Anne's challenge details and  also those very important pesky rules click HERE

For my CG make I took a  Ranger size 12 Manila Tag, folded it in half and then snipped the corners off to match the top of the tag.
I used Stampers Anonymous Purveyor set and Tim's Smudge stamping technique from his new CC3 book using Potted Soil Archival Ink. I so love this technique. The second stamped image was cut out to use as a mask, enabling me to use more stamps, Archival Inks as well as Tim Holtz stencils and Distress Ink.
I then placed some of Tim's new ephemera, fragment pieces ( coloured with Ranger Alcohol Inks) stamps  and Idea-ology to embellish the card.  A photograph from Tim Holtz French Industrial papers was cut out and placed inside a bottle cap and covered with Glossy Accents.

The masking and smudging techniques were also used in the inside of this tag card and the images you can see below are from TH Stampers Anonymous Purveyor set. Tim Holtz stencils ( bubble and harlequin) provide more background details as well as a rub on.
 A little closer
There are lots more inspiring makes over on the AVJ blog, where my super talented DT sisters have posted the most fantastic projects.

Don't forget our regular sponsor, Country View Crafts. If your entry is chosen as the winner of the
'All About Him' challenge you will receive a £10 gift voucher to spend at their shop. We also have Pinworthy badges too

So go on and join in the fun.

  15. Annie...Your jumbo tag folded in half to create a card is beautiful! You picked some wonderful masculine stamps of Tim's for this "manly" card. Love your choice of colors and all of the stamping and stenciling you did on the background. That is already some wonderful art. Then you added the stamped images, the metal pieces and the ephemera! It all works! <3 Candy

  16. Wowzer - this is a stunning tag, Annie. The colours absolutely zing - love that vivid blue of the ink bottle and lettering - and the layered stencilling is gorgeous. Loving that bottle top - I've a couple sitting on my desk right now (results of my first play with the Melt Pot) awaiting the appropriate project - this makes me want to get them into action!! Fantastic masculine make.
