Welcome to everyone, especially my new followers....its great to have you join me in my crafty little corner of blogland.....................I am extremely happy that Andy Murray, a fellow Scot, won Wimbledon this afternoon..............................Woohoo !!!!! Go Andy Murray.....the first British person to have won Wimbledon in 77 years !!!!!! I was absolutely thrilled for him, to achieve your dreams/goals is a wonderful thing !!!!
Below is a crafty make for my mum who is also celebrating today...........Happy Birthday Mammy xx
I could not post until my mum had received this piece or it would have spoiled the surprise !!!
Below is the back view, where I created a pocket to hold a tag, which held the personal greeting/ date/year etc
You can see below how the frame used to look before it was altered.
I stripped the frame apart and covered in Ranger Glue n Seal, before painting with Ranger Distress Crackle Paints in Vintage Photo and Weathered Wood.
I used a variety of stamps by Creative Expressions and papers from TH Paper Stashes. I also adhered a Wendy Vecchi Art Part Vintage Sewing Machine as well as various embellishments/ideaology pieces.
I have to say that I really enjoyed the challenge/creativity of this Altered Art piece and, as a tailoress, my mum really loved it, which was the most important thing of all !!.
I am entering this make in the following challenges and apologise now as I may be close to the wire on SSS&S!!
Have a great week xx
