Hi everyone.......here we are with another challenge over at Craft Room Challenge. This fortnight it is Christi who is the host and she has chosen 'Cats' as her theme.
Please note that our challenge rules have changed and it is essential that they are followed if you want to be in with a chance of winning a prize from our sponsor 'The Stamp Man'
I adore cats and have two of my very own fur balls so this challenge theme was right up my street :-) It was also a chance to play with some stamps that I have had in my stash for absolute ages.
Once again I used up some of my leftover paper scraps to create the background. Distressing the edges and applying Distress Inks in Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain.
Some paws were stamped in Versamark and then heat embossed....................even after all these years I still love to watch the embossing powders melt.
Scattered Straw Distress Ink was applied to my craft mat and then I took my Ranger TH Water Brush to create a watercolour effect on the cats towel. Some Fired Brick was then lightly applied around the background, before inking Walnut Stain around the edges to give definition. The eyes were coloured using Distress Marker. ( Tumbled Glass)
The words were also part of the stamp set and were inked with Potting Soil Archival Ink.
This really is a fun card and I just love this little chap, who is clearly quite miffed at having been given a bath.
The sentiment around him says ' What Part of Cats Don't Like Water Didn't You Understand ?'

Another of my favourite challenge blogs 'Fashionable Stamping Challenge' is looking for entries that 'Make Us Laugh' and I certainly had that in mind whilst making this DT piece. This gorgeous guy certainly makes me laugh as his expression and the sentiment are perfectly matched :-)
Thank You for visiting and I shall pop in to your blogs soon x As I have been away from home for 5 days, meeting up with friends and family, I have quite a bit of catching up to do.
Take Care and Crafty Hugs xx
