Here is my take on this great challenge:
I made an 8 by 8 card, incorporating Tim Holtz ( TH) Kraft CO'Ordinations,
TH embossing folder, TH Wallpaper Flower Stash, TH Idea-Ology numbers and metal tag, scraps of torn papers from TH's Found Relatives, Ephemera and of course Distress Ink.
I also used TH's scissors, sanding and distressing tools as well as a Ranger heat mat.
The background is Tim's Kraft Core, 12 by 12 paper stash, which I ran through my embossing machine at various angles until it was fully embossed. I then sanded the top, wiping it with a dry cloth and I love the reveal. The edges were distressed using Tim's distressing tool from Tonic. Walnut Stain Distress Ink was applied to the edges. Love that grungy, vintage feel.
The gentleman from the Wallflower Paper Stash was also edged with Tim's paper distressed and then inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. The zip was adhered with Ranger Glossy Accents and the tartan ribbon was attached using Tim's Tiny Attacher. A piece of torn book page and, following my lovely crafty friend Brenda Brown's tip, I took the back of one of my Found Relatives scrap pieces, which was left over from my last project. It separated very easily and is quite effective...don't you think?
More numbers above, which were cut from the same paper stash as the lovely gent. The Idea-Ology tag and the metal number 6, top right, just complete the look I wanted to achieve for this very masculine card.
