Forest Friends @ Craft Room Challenge

Well another fortnight has passed and its time for a new challenge over at Craft Room Challenge. I would like to say a huge 'Thank You' to those of you who entered our last challenge, we certainly have a difficult task in choosing a winner.
Unfortunately, many entries were exempt from winning the prize, due to not reading our 'New' Pesky Challenge Rules, which is such a shame.

The lovely Amber is our host this fortnight and she has chosen the theme of Forest Friends.

Here is what Amber has to say about her challenge:
"It is my turn to host the challenge for this fortnight, and I have picked the theme of "Forest Friends".  I love forest creatures!  You can include any of them in your project, but I ask that they be one of the focal points and not just a "token gesture".

Our sponsor this  this fortnight is Tando Creative, so please be sure to check out the New Pesky Rules to ensure that your entry/post qualifies to be in with a chance of winning.

Here is my  DT project:

RECIPE

Kraft Card
Tim Holtz Embossing Folder
TH Distress Inks in Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo and Rusty Hinge
Owl Stamp from PaperArtsy Stamps
Tartan Ribbon
Spellbinders Die

The card is 6" by 6" and I cut another piece 5.5", which I ran through my Big Shot usingTim's Embossing Folder, which looks like bark. The Walnut Stain and Rusty Hinge gave a lovely depth and variation to the embossing.

The SB die was cut several times, enabling me to create depth. It was inked with Vintage Photo/Rusty Hinge.
The owl was edged with Walnut Stain and given a light cover of DI to create definition, I also shaped it slightly.
The tartan ribbon just added to the look. Words will be added later as I don't know whether this will be a Thank You or a Birthday card....woo knows !! ( Sorry I just had to say that :-)

For more inspiration please hop over to the CRC challenge site, where you will be able to view the makes of our other amazing DT members.

Looking forward to viewing your entries.

Crafty hugs and catch up soon xx
