Hi Everyone. Sorry I have not been posting this last week, however, I have managed to get some crafting time as you will see below. Hopefully things are now back to normal and I should have more time to visit you all and find out what you have been making over the last few days.
I made this card for The Artistic Stamper Monthly Challenge- Spots n Stripes. I used a Kraft card as before and then cut the frame using the Sizzix TH Vintage Cabinet die. I ran the cut frame through an embossing folder, which left spots/dots on the frame as you can see in the photographs. The striped background paper is from Dovecraft ( Back to Basics). Using an SB die I cut the flower shape from a polka dot paper, also from Dovecraft. Sizzix TH Tattered leaves and some stamped images were distressed with Distress Inks, namely walnut stain and broken china. Some burlap was placed under the flower and leaves. This card is for someone who recently went through an operation and is making a good recovery and I know she will be delighted with it.
I am also entering this card in to the Make It Monday Challenge, which is always- Anything Goes.
Both Heart 2 Heart and The Pink Elephant have the same challenge, which is Polka Dot and Stripes. As my card has a striped background and a polka dot flower I plan to submit it to both these challenges.
As always thank you so much for visiting. Please leave me a comment as its great to know you have visited and I can then return the compliment.
Hugs Annie :)

Annie, thanks for all the kind comments you left on my blog! I like the contrast of antique look and bright modern stripes.
ReplyDeleteI came over to your blog from MIM where I spotted this lovely card. I love the frame you have made of kraft paper, and the flower is so pretty and decorative.
ReplyDeleteI missed this when it went live, Annie. Just found it through the Artistic Stamper board. Love how you used the negative space of the die and also the way you've added the spots... that's especially clever!
