Happy Monday Everyone !
Why do the weekends always go in so quickly !!! I had a lovely weekend and a crafty day today. Over the next few weeks I have several greeting cards to make that I would like to share with you.
Using Kraft Card I cut out the aperture on this piece with Sizzix TH Vintage Cabinet Bigz die. I then ran the die cut through an embossing folder, creating small dots, which I highlighted when I inked the frame with TH distress inks. Using a piece of blue Co'ordinations paper, which I embossed and sanded, I placed this behind the aperture. This gave my card both texture and dimension. I added a gold brad in the corner's of my frame. To create a focal point I added some frayed edge burlap, cut some old book pages with Sizzix TH tattered florals/ Tattered leaves Bigz dies. I then spritzed the flower with Aqua Lagoon cosmic shimmer mist. The tattered leaves were inked with various distress inks. Sentiment stamps were placed off centre, enabling the embossing textures to be seen.
Hels Sheridan's Sunday Stamper's challenge theme for this week is Brown and Blue so I shall submit my card in this fun challenge. Simon Says Stamp is celebrating their 3rd Birthday so I shall also enter my card in their challenge.
Thank you for visiting and good luck in the challenges you enter. Please leave a comment when you visit and I can then return the compliment by visiting/following your blog.
