Good Morning everyone. The sun is shining in my craft room window and its just beautiful.
Well.....I visited my mammy for some crafty bits to finish my altered bottle and returned with lots more for my stash and a few nostalgic pieces too. ( Thanks mammy X ) My mammy is a Tailoress and Teddy Bear Artist and she hoards lots of brilliant fabrics, trimmings and embellishments. ( great for my sister and I to pinch)
As you can see below my altered bottle, which was previously a well known brand of Rum bottle, is now complete.
( No.. the brand does not begin with B....hic hic ) Could this be a challenge ? Name the bottle ??
The brooch added in the centre was obtained by my mammy who received it for her beautiful gaelic singing at The Mod in the 1950's.
At the bottom of the bottle, covering the lace, is a necklace that was worn by my Nana
( grandmother). Both these pieces make this bottle very very special and a great family keepsake. As mentioned in a previous blog post I also have Candy Colwell of Creativity is Contagious blog, who gave me the inspiration for this piece, which I have thoroughly enjoyed creating.
I am entering this piece in the following challenges, please see links below :
Thank You for visiting my blog. I love to read the comments you leave and always try to get back to you/follow you.
Have a wonderful crafty day................Annie x
