Hi Everyone. Hope you are all well and happily creating your wonderful pieces of art.
I cannot believe that we are almost at the end of April.......where does time go !! I thought I had better get creating for my submission to Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2012. I had to improvise as I did not have the folder that Tim used. So I distressed an old book page then ran it through my Bigshot with another Sizzix alterations die. (You can just make out the sprockets and gears) I then inked the tag with vintage photo, wild honey and broken china Distress inks. As I did not have Tim's branch die I used another, which I inked with vintage photo distress ink and then added walnut stain distress powders, some glue and flower soft. The bird was coloured with tumbled glass and scattered straw distress markers. I then made the wee embellishment on the bottom left using a small stamp and some torn papers from TH vintage shabby paper stash, sticking a button on to complete the look. Some raffia paper was added to the top of the tag along with a trinket pin and key.
Hope to see you tomorrow on WOYWW
take care and thank you for visiting. Its lovely to read your comments

Hi Annie, the colours you have used are lovely and that background is so pretty and so is that corner at the bottom. I had hardly any of the things TH used but I still had a go, not as nice as yours though. Anne x
ReplyDeleteDon't believe that Annie! Anne's tag was just great, and I reckon your background has worked really well.
ReplyDeleteWe can't all afford to buy every product out there so improvisation is a necessity, especially for new crafters. You have both shown that it is still possible to produce beautiful works of art in the style of 'the Master'.
Hugs, Buttons x
