Hi everyone..hope you are well and enjoying the weekend. Sadly I am working, but I wanted to share my first ever Art Doll. When I saw the current challenge at PaperArtsy I knew that I just had to have a go. So I grabbed various PA stamps from my stash and set to it.
I will provide a list of stamp sets at the bottom of the post. I also used the fabulous Fresco opaque and translucent paints too. The translucent paints are perfect for colouring stamped images as they don't detract from the stamping.
So here we go..........my lovely Art Doll, who is taking her beloved pets for a walk on a beautiful Spring day !!
The blue background is a mixture of Inky Pool and Snowflake Fresco paints and the yellow is the fabulous Fresco Haystack. The stamped flowers/grass are from a set by Jo Firth Young ( JOFY)
The doll face was coloured using copics markers. The crown was painted with Fresco London Bus and Hey Pesto. The bodice heart is a Hot Picks set and was painted with Caribbean Sea.
The skirt is also Hot Picks and painted with Limelight. The legs are also from a PA stamp set, which I cut and then painted with Hey Pesto.
I just love the Clockwork Birds and you can see them on my blog header, which was an art piece I created some time ago.
This little gem is another quirky image from PA, which I think is an Ink and the Dog stamp set
All in all I had real fun with this one....its so sunny and bright..hopefully just like the weather we will have coming our way.
As I mentioned I would like to enter this make in the PaperArtsy Art Doll challenge.
There are some amazing entries and also a post with the most amazing Art Dolls by the DT and other artists.

ReplyDeleteSorry it's taken me so long to get to your blog Annie! I'm just catching up after being without internet for several days last week!
ReplyDeleteI see, like me, you went out of your normal sphere to create your first art doll and what a brilliant job you did! Lovely bright canvas and just what I needed to see on this awful Bank Holiday Monday! Hopefully it is bringing better weather as it's now starting to brighten up a bit ;-). Your doll is brilliant and I love her quirky little pets which are little art dolls in themselves.
Hugs
