Flowers For You

Hi everyone..............today is Tag Friday over at A Vintage Journey Blog, where the Creative Guides are sharing their inspiration/techniques. HERE

My tag background was created using Tim Holtz Paint Resist technique from his Creative Chemistry 102 online class. Out of respect for Tim I cannot share his technique with you but CC102 can be accessed at any time if you have already joined. You can also still register for the course, which is very worthwhile. Like I say you can go back to CC101 and CC102 at any time once you have registered/ paid for the purchase.
The Distress Ink colours I used are this year's releases, Mermaid Lagoon, Twisted Citron, Fossilised Amber, Abandoned Coral, the edges of the tag were inked with Gathered Twigs.

Tim's Sizzix Lattice Framework die was inked in Twisted Citron DI, which is now a favourite of mine and I edged the frame with Vintage Photo Distress Marker.
Tim's Sizzix Thinlit die was cut from Ranger Kraft Card stock and could be sanded if preferred.

The tattered Floral Bigz die from Sizzix was cut out of paper and inked with Fossilised Amber DI. The flowers were layered and attached using an Idealogy
The little butterflies were made from a punch die purchased in Hobbycraft and Tim's Tissue Wrap was inked in Mermaid Lagoon  DI and attached to the top of the tag.

A close up is shown below x
The current challenge at AVJ is Destinations and you still have time to enter.
As always there is a prize for the randomly drawn winner and Pinworthy badges for the Top 3, with a chance to be Guest Designer on AVJ.

Take care and have a lovely weekend. I am off to London to attend a Wendy Vecchi workshop, but most importantly to meet up with my very talented crafty blog friends.............do say hello if you happen to be there......I would be delighted to meet you xx

Take care and Huge Hugs

  11. The outcome of your tag is sensational Annie! What I love are the warm Summer colors (that are currently driving me into hibernation as I do not play well in hot temperatures) but they are mixed with the slight hints of cooler colors that promise of better more amiable weather for me!! :) It's GORGEOUS!!
    hugs,
