Things with Wings

Its hard to believe that another two weeks have passed and its time for another challenge at  the Craft Room Challenge blog. The entries for Esther's Recycle Challenge are amazing and she will have a hard job choosing the Top 3.

It's my turn to Host and I have chosen 'Things with Wings'. I love to add wings to my crafty makes and you can see below that they can be added to any project.

Our  generous sponsor this fortnight is The Stamp Man. So get those entries in as you may be the lucky random winner who will receive a voucher, redeemable at their online store.         The Stamp Man

Here's a little picture of the background, which  was adhered on a canvas board, layered with lace, string, netting and scrunched paper.
Once the Gesso was dry I sprayed with Dylusions Ink in London Blue and Melted Chocolate. Some of the ink was swiped with a baby wipe and you can see how this changed the colour tone. Treasure Gold was then applied and it looks amazing over the scrunched paper.

The stamps used are from Oxford Impressions Venezia Stamp set and the Layered Wings are designed by Tim Holtz for Sizzix.

For inspiration please pop over to Craft Room Challenge blog, HERE,  where you can view the wonderful projects that my lovely DT sisters have made.......oh and of course you can view those 'Pesky' rules.

  1. That's beautiful!! The second picture of the background looks like a cavern with a waterfall in it...that's amazing how you flowed the colors and then adding the front pieces just melded it wonderfully. Oh Italy..how romantic. Beautiful work Annie :)

  12. We have both enjoyed travels to Venice! Mine isn't on my blog as yet but funny how we have both chosen Venice themes and I also used a canvas panel lol.
I love this stamp set, it is absolutely gorgeous and so love what you created - rich in colour and texture as all Venetian inspired artwork should be.

  15. Such vibrant colors in the background to compliment the soft ones in front. Just lovely, and you are right, wings can be added to anything. Wings are one of my favorite things to add.
