The tag book below was made for the Fashionable Stamping Challenge, whose challenge is 'Musical' and Frilly & Funkie whose challenge is Chipboard and Metal.
(You can tell by my heading that I also had F&F's last challenge in my mind when I made this project. I was gutted when I went to post it today and realised it closed yesterday !!!....but I am now smiling again )
I took three of Tim's size 10 tags and embossed them with his sizzix embossing folders ( timepieces and musical notes ) I then used the wrinkle free distress technique, smooshing distress stains in vintage photo and walnut stain. I also smooshed metallic DS on the craft sheet too, drying a couple of layers on the tag, before inking the edges with various DI's. To make the binder for my tag book I cut some Grunge paper and some paper from TH's Crowded Attic, adhering it with paper fasteners, which I enhanced with some Sizzix diecut crackle glazed Gadget Gears.
The weathered clock die was cut from a piece of card, which I covered in Ranger Foil and coloured with Alcohol Inks.
The letters were die cuts from Sizzix TH Word Play, which I covered in acrylic wax, rusting powder
( Crafty Notions) and vinegar.
The metal clip was coloured with alcohol ink and attached to the back with string.
On the inside I hid the paper fastener used to attach the clock with some more rusty letters.
The middle page was embossed with Sizzix TH musical notes folder. After inking with DI's I embossed the whole page with clear embossing powder, making the notes/colours stand out. Musical edging and an embossed happy birthday were inked with DI's and then adhered. Finally, I added 'to you' in more rusty letters.
The second pack page has been left blank at present , enabling me to add a personalised verse for the recipient.
I would also like to enter this project in to the following fun challenges
Off to get ready for a few days in London. We were so lucky to get tickets to see Andrea Bocelli and I just cannot wait !!!!! Catch up with you all soon.

ReplyDeleteHi again Annie... thanks for your note. Yes, my sister-in-law's been struggling with getting the Comments feature to behave. It seems to be there on individual posts, but not on the main page... I think she may have to change the template - aagh! But thank you so much for letting me know, and I've passed on the message about you enjoying it to her. Have a lovely evening.
