A 'Huge Crafty Hug' to followers old and new. It has been a few weeks since I joined you on WOYWW due to holidays and other commitments........ but now I am back and hoping to catch up with you all, making some new friends/followers on my journey.
I have so many crafty ideas at present I don't know where to start. Its the first time in ages that I have not had birthdays etc to create for and therefore I can play!! Yippee !!
I have wanted to alter a book for some time..........so maybe thats where I will begin.........thats after I have responded to my crafty friends in Blogland!!
Wishing you all a fabulous WOYWW and have a great time at the Crop Day on Saturday

I followed Elizabeth of Altered Book Lover and started an altered book. Very interesting and I love what i made, but there were sooo many pages, I had to take a time out for a while! :^) patsy
ReplyDeleteFunny, while cleaning I found my first (and only) attempt at an altered book - not touched after day 2 about 8 years ago. I am sure you will do much better - I'm hopeless at any sort of ongoing project. :)

Hi Annie, I love your new crafty space and the lovely speckly work surface. I spy some Dylusions inks too, I love using them but get inky right up my arms when I use them - very messy but lots of fun. Quite a few WOYWWers have followed Elizabeth (above) and made some amazing altered books, she is extremely talented. Have fun with yours. Crafty hugs, Anne x #82
ReplyDeleteHi Annie thanks for popping to see me. The book you have on your desk looks like it will be a whole heap of crafty fun to alter. Whatever are those white round things all in a row? Very intriguing! Happy WOYWW to you from Helen 5
ReplyDeleteOoooh, that book looks interesting already so I can't wait to see what you do with it. What are those white 'balls' on the left? Feet maybe? Enjoy your craft time. Hugs, Buttons #70

Always nice to get back in the crafty room and have a play again. I thought you had a dozen eggs on you desk but I realised they're your ink blenders!! You'll have to wait a while before I can show a completed project with my new wool as I'm the world's slowest knitter!! Thanks for stopping by.

An altered book seems like a good place to start and you have chosen one with a nice splotched cover. Have fun playing! Dani#16

ReplyDeleteHi Annie
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for becoming a follower of my blog! your desk is a lovely space and looks quite well organised.
If you are unsure of starting an altered book then take a peek at Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog as she offers a FREE online full detail course for this which you might be interested in. Lots of ideas and facts to help your direction.
Good luck and have a good week, Love jo x
All these items look very interesting. I wonder what will become of the big book???
ReplyDeleteNot sure if my comment was saved...this may be a repeat. I was saying that I wonder what will become of this big book??!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of your blog, lots of interesting "trinkets" all over the sides. THanks for following me, I'm trying to get to 100, but it has been slow going lately. I will follow you, too!
ReplyDeleteSo many lovely things in this photo...what are the rather interesting eggs on the left?
ReplyDeleteNext order of business...the holder for your ink is just fabulous. mine are are thrown together into an iris cart and are a pain in the #*#*. Yours is so organized that I love it...hahaha the organizing bug has got me good!
The book you chose looks like a great one. The WOYWW lady that offers the free courses is very thorough with really clear instructions.
Off to check out your blog and follow you back...thanks for the honour.
Your desk looks great, ready for you to have at it and create! Be careful of altered books, as they can be quite addictive . . . ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW!

Hi Annie,
ReplyDeleteI have a few altered books on the go, although I am slightly distracted by knitting at the moment! So much to do and not enough hours in the day! I will come back to see what you are doing with your book. Happy WOYWW! RosA # 33
Good luck with your altered book journey, this one place that I dont seem to keep going with. LOL You have one very inviting desk there and that is one really need collection and storage idea for your ink blenders.

I'm just so happy to see you posting again and I had the best time blog stalking your desk. What in the world is that box thing with the white ball looking things on it? My curiosity is peeked...LOL.
