Hi Everyone. As mentioned I have had problems with some posts/images so I am really sorry if you have visited and not been able to view the pieces.
This is a piece that I made to enter the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge, Sunday Stampers and Make My Monday.
The background, which is Kraft Resist paper from TH Paper Stash, was inked with vintage photo distress stain. I also flicked some shimmer spray to give an aged look. The stamps I used were mainly from Stampers Anonymous Artefacts. I also added an embellishment that I had made in my Ranger melting pot.
The keys and lock are die cuts from TH Sizzix Bigz dies. The frame was cut with a Spellbinder die, which I distresed with Broken China, Tumbled Glass and Vintage Photo, giving an aged look. The numbers are also die cuts and I added them as Hels Sheridan is celebrating her 200th Sunday Stampers Challenge.
Thanks for visiting..................hope to see you again soon.
Happy Crafting...............Annie x

Cor, this is faaabulous Annie, loving all those gorgeous elements, tis lush... you asked about the rose "how to"... there's a tut on the sidebar of my blog for paper roses... I treat them the same as Grunge and the only thing I would say for shaping the petals is use your thumb and fore-finger and roll the Grunge between them... the heat will help the Grunge to set into the right shape :O) HTH! Thank you for joining in with the Sunday Stamper... and your continued support!

ReplyDeleteHi again Annie! You are so inspiring to me!! Really...I so appreciate your comments! :) Your work is so lovely. You should try the vintage. I'm sure whatever you would create would be incredible. I just think it's fun to be "quirky" one day and feeling a bit nostalgic the next. It's nice to be able to switch from one mode to another. And...aren't Dyan's stencils and sprays just awesome?! I'll be anxious to see what you come up with! <3 Candy
